Flavio Losco, violin

Flavio Losco, premier violon des Passions (c) Jean-Jacques AderFlavio Losco is a Franco-Italian musician. 

He took his musical training in violin, musical theory, percussion, organ, composition and Baroque Music at the Nice Conservatoire. It wasthere that he obtained several first prizes. 

Flavio Losco is a solo violonist in several ensembles specialising in Baroque Music in France and abroad, and such has played the violin and viola on many recordings. Of particular note was his world-first recording of some Paganini’s works on period instruments. These were comprised of sonatas for violin and guitar (wich were awarded 9/10 from Répertoire Magazine) and ” The Carnaval of Venise”. 

Whether playing solo violin in an ensemble or as a soloist – for example, alongside Amandine Beyer – Flavio Losco has received the highest awards, such as the Diapason d’Or, Diapason d’Or de l’Année, Choc de Classica, and so on.

In parallel with his instrumental activities, Flavio Losco has also performed as a tenor in oratorios and operas. Flavio Losco teaches Baroque violin at Nice Conservatoire
