This third and last volume concludes by the discovery of the Messe en Ré, our exploration of Jean Gilles’ major works. We have attempted to restore them faithfully. To respect their nature at once pious and light, melodious and danceable, grave and serene. Our wish is to raise awareness in music as well as to appreciate their touching sincerity bathed in southern colours.
